The 'Follower Exclusive' feature allows SoundCloud users to upload tracks to their profile that are only accessible to their followers. If a listener isn’t following the artist yet, they’ll be prompted to do so in order to unlock the track, turning exclusive content into a direct fan acquisition tool.

SoundCloud users with an 'Artist Pro' subscription can select the 'Follower Exclusive' option under the 'Privacy' tab during the upload process:

As 'Follower Exclusive' tracks only appear when fans visit the artist's profile, external promotion is key, so we recommend driving traffic via Instagram Stories, mailing lists, or direct fan messaging.
