How do I match my unmatched artists?

If you joined LabelWorx before December 2024, imported releases from a spreadsheet, or switched from another distributor, you may have unmatched artists in your roster. Matching them to artists in our database ensures accurate artist profile mapping and more reliable Daily Sales Reporting.

Matching Unmatched Artists on your Roster

IMPORTANT: If you notice any 'compound artists' (multiple individual artists who have been incorrectly listed together under a single name) during this process, you must split them first. Doing this will ensure accurate artist profile mapping and more reliable Daily Sales Reporting.

To match your roster to the artists in our database, go to Artists ➜ Artists Unmatched in the top menu:

1. From the 'Artists Unmatched' screen, you will be presented with a list of all your artists that are unable to be automatically matched. To match them, click Match Artist on the right-hand side.
   
   
   
   
2. Click Select on the correct artist from our database that matches your artist.
   
   
   
   If you have difficulties finding the correct artist, you can re-phrase the search term, or paste your artist's Spotify profile URL into the search bar. If you are sure that your artist does not already exist in our artist database, you can click on Create New Artist to add a new artist to our database.
   
   
3. Repeat this process for all unmatched artists on your roster.

Matching Unmatched Artists on a Specific Release

If you have unmatched artists on a release, you will see a prompt at the top of the Release Details page:

1. On the 'Unmatched Artists Detected' prompt, click the MATCH button.
   
   
   
   
2. Click Match Artist on the unmatched artists.
   
   
   
   
3. Click Select on the correct artist from our database that matches your artist.

4. Repeat this process for all unmatched artists on the release.
