The ISRC or International Standard Recording Code is an identification system for sound and music video recordings. Each ISRC is a unique and permanent identifier for a specific recording which is used to identify that recording for royalty payments.
If you currently rely on LabelWorx to issue ISRC codes for your releases then we urge you to register with your local agency. Every record company should ideally be registered and seeing as registration is free and simple (in most territories) there is no reason why you should not do so. Once registered you will be issued with a prefix that can be entered into our system and we will issue ISRC codes using your prefix for you.
To obtain an ISRC prefix code, click here to find your local agency - International ISRC Agencies
Locate your local agency from the list at the bottom of the page and follow the link to their website. Once there, follow the instructions on how to register and obtain your ISRC prefix.
Once you have your prefix complete the following -
1. Select "Settings" on the top menu
2. Select the "ISRC & EAN Code Prefixes" tab
3. Enter your "ISRC prefix" into the field specified
4. Enter the "Next ISRC Code" number (if this is your first code leave it set to 1)
5. Click the "Apply" button on the icon menu
As soon as you have completed the above we will start issuing ISRC codes using your prefix. At any point you can download what has been issued by clicking the "ISRC Export (xlsx)" link.
