What can I do if my artist's name is already in use on Beatport?
Unfortunately due to the way Beatport's system works you cannot have duplicate artist names. If you release under a name that already exists on Beatport, your content will appear on the already existing artist profile.
Either you change your name so it generates its own artist page or if you own the copyright to the name, then you can send a cease and desist letter to the infringing label and they will then change the other artist's name.
If you do not own the copyright to your artist's name, then you must reach an agreement with the infringing artist as to what they/you will change their/your name to. Once a decision has been made, please send the details that need updating to us via our Request Form.
