Why do I see minus / negative figures on my sales statement?
If the stores report negative / minus figures to us on their statements then LabelWorx will pass these on to you as a label and as such, they are shown on your sales statement.
These are the result of refunds, corrections or credit card frauds that have been reversed back to the credit card owner.
Many stores (in particular Beatport) will make corrections to sales the following quarter for the previous quarter's sales.
Why are my total plays on Spotify different from what are reported in my statements?
The play count Spotify displays in their application is the aggregated play count for all tracks of the same recording. This means if the same track is on multiple releases, they will all have the same play count.
When recognising the same recording, Spotify takes many factors into account; such as ISRC code, track title, duration and artist name. Even if the ISRC code is not identical, the tracks might still link if the title is the same and the duration is very close.
Why are my actual statement values different to those shown in the Daily Sales Reporting?
Our Daily Sales reporting system collates sales reports received from participating DSPs into a single reporting system.
These sales figures although received from the stores are not final sales statement values and are subject to change due to delayed updates, failed downloads, incomplete transactions and currency conversions from the relevant services.
Please do NOT use the figures reported in our Daily Sales system as a basis for any Royalty Reporting. These figures should be used as an estimation of sales only.
Does LabelWorx collect the publishing money for my releases?
Label Worx is not a publishing company. We leave this money to be collected by the artists themselves directly.
Why do sales appear to be missing from my LabelWorx sales statement?
Label Worx can only account to your company for sales that have been accounted to us and paid for in full by the accounting store. Any statements that are not paid in full will be rolled over and included in your next statement assuming that the balances on these have been settled.
A large percentage of download stores like Beatport account to us on a quarterly basis which means that for those stores the sales included on your statement are most likely from the quarter before last.
The main bulk of sales from the last 3 months will appear on your next statement. Again this is for the reason specified above. If you are expecting sales that are not included in this statement then they will be included in the statement issued next quarter.
At the top of your statement email from Label Worx is a list of DSP statements included in our statement to you, along with the time periods included in the statement.
