You can fully control your deliveries to the various DSPs and set different release dates for them by using the Schedule tool, its icon is located within the Icon Menu on the Release Details page of your release.
If you cannot find this icon, please contact support to enable the Schedule tool on your account.
Cancelling & Scheduling DSP Deliveries
To stop a release from being delivered to a specific store, click the Cancel button for that store under the Toggle DSP Deliveries column. Any store that says ‘Stopped’ with a red cross will be opted-out of deliveries.
If you change your mind, just click the Schedule button. Any stores that say ‘Scheduled’ with a green tick will be opted-in to deliveries.
Make sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the panel once you have finished.
Quick Set Options
There is a range of Quick Set Options available to help you quickly opt stores in or out of deliveries.
If you are doing a Download and Streaming version of the same release, you should typically set the Download version to 'Download DSPs only' and the Streaming version to 'Streaming Service DSPs only'.
You will see all of the stores that match the option will remain ‘Scheduled’, and all of the stores that don’t match the preset will be set to ‘Stopped’.
You can alter the preset by clicking the ‘Schedule’ or ‘Cancel’ button for your chosen store under the Toggle DSP Deliveries column.
Make sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the panel once you have finished.
Custom Release Dates
You can use the Schedule tool to make a release to go live on specific stores before or after the Official Release Date under the Release Date column.
You can either enter your date manually in the text box (DD/MM/YYYY), or you can click on the calendar icon next to it to pick a date. Leaving this as '00/00/0000' will default that store to the 'Official Release Date' you set at the release-level.
Make sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the panel once you have finished.
IMPORTANT: If you have set an Exclusive Store for your release, you must not set a custom release date for any other download stores within the exclusive period. For example, if you set a ‘Beatport 2 Week Exclusive’ on 01/01/2026, do not select a custom release date on any other download store until after the Beatport exclusive period has finished on 15/01/2026.
Timed Release
A timed release is when you schedule your release to go live at a specific global time, rather than the standard rolling midnight release (00:00 local time in each territory).
For DSPs that support this feature, a clock icon will appear next to the calendar icon. Clicking this allows you to set an exact release time and the corresponding time zone, ensuring the release goes live simultaneously worldwide on that DSP.
Please note that if you select a time zone other than UTC+0, the time you set will be converted into UTC, as this is the format used when communicating release times to DSPs, which can result in the release date being adjusted for that DSP. For example, if you set a release time of 02:00 AM in Australia/Sydney (GMT+10) on Spotify, this converts to 16:00 UTC on the previous day, which would cause the release date for Spotify to shift back by one day to align with UTC conversion.
Make sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the panel once you have finished.
