If you ever find music on your Spotify artist profile that doesn’t belong to you, whether it’s already live or still upcoming, Spotify makes it easy to fix. Using the Content Mismatch tool within Spotify for Artists, you can quickly report incorrect releases and ensure your artist profile only reflects your own work.
If you are not already signed up to Spotify for Artists, you can learn how to join for free here.
Remove incorrect content that's already on your profile
If releases by another artist of the same name are incorrectly on your artist's Spotify page already, you can request a fix via the Content Mismatch tool within Spotify for Artists.
Remove incorrect content from your profile before it goes live
If you notice a release that does not belong to you in the 'Upcoming' section of your Spotify for Artists account, you can also quickly report it to Spotify at this point:
Navigate to the Music tab in Spotify for Artists on web, then click on Upcoming to view all scheduled releases associated with your artist profile.
Click the context menu (...) next to the relevant upcoming release that is not by your artist.
Select Report incorrect release. This initiates the Content Mismatch Form, with the album URI pre-filled (within this form, you may also search for other upcoming releases by album name or URI that do not belong on your profile. The search is scoped to your artist profile).
Fill in the required details and submit the report. An email confirmation will be sent upon submission.
