TikTok has now opened up its Music Tab feature to every artist on their platform. This feature automatically maps tracks delivered by distributors under the Music Tab of the relevant artist's profile.
Along with this comes innovative tools offered by TikTok to promote their music, telling users about their new releases, and the ability to pin their video to the top of the Sound Details page on their tracks.
How can my artists apply?
To apply for an Artist Account, your artist should go to this link on a mobile device.
From here, your artist will need to select the artist profile they want to claim. They'll then need to submit a screenshot of your LabelWorx account that clearly shows their artist name and at least one song (if you are the label owner, it's likely that you will need to provide these screenshots to your artist who will need to complete the application process themselves) .
Please note that ownership checks are carried out externally by TikTok, and LabelWorx are unable to assist or dispute any decisions TikTok makes.
Are there any restrictions?
- Labels cannot apply – Music Tab is only available to artists who have their own TikTok profile.
- UGC (User Generated Content) tracks are not currently displayed within the Music Tab.
- Tracks with a 'Contains music by...' tag are not currently displayed within the Music Tab.
