YouTube’s Community Guidelines outline what type of content is and isn’t allowed on YouTube.
As of 2023, YouTube channels will now have the option of taking a specialised training course when they receive a Community Guidelines warning. Completion of the course will remove the warning from a creator’s channel — so long as they don’t violate the same policy for 90 days.
Creators were previously given one warning throughout the lifetime of their channel, but will now get individual warnings depending on the specific policy they violate, if they take the training. This means more opportunities to learn why their content may have crossed the line, and the ability to take multiple learning courses at the same time.
YouTube believes this update will help the vast majority of YouTube Channels produce content that complies with their policies, and help keep YouTube a safe and responsible platform for everyone. For more info, check out the official YouTube Community Guideline resources below:
