Getting Started with Daily Trends

Daily Trends is currently in beta while we test and improve its features. If you'd like to be considered for early access to Daily Trends, complete this form to register your interest.

Daily Trends helps you monitor how your catalogue is performing across supported DSPs by bringing together streaming, download, playlist and audience data in one place. To get started, we recommend watching this video walkthrough to learn the basics of the Daily Trends interface and its key features:

The 'Overview' page is the best place to start, providing a high-level summary of your performance for the selected date range, before drilling down into more detailed reports by artist, platform, and more.

Date Range

Use the date selector in the top-right corner of the page to choose the reporting period you want to analyse. Select one of the preset ranges (last 7 days, last 28 days, or last 90 days), or use the calendar picker to define a custom date range. Once applied, all charts, rankings, and statistics across the Daily Trends interface will update automatically to reflect the selected reporting period.

Report Tabs

The tabs across the top of the page provide access to the other Daily Trends reports if you want to explore beyond the 'Overview' page. Your selected date range is carried across each report, where you can analyse metrics for 'Artists', 'Labels', 'Countries', 'Platforms', 'Releases', 'Tracks', 'Genres' and 'Playlists' in greater detail.

Summary Cards

The four summary cards at the top of the 'Overview' page provide a quick snapshot of your overall performance during the selected period. Each card also displays the percentage increase or decrease compared with the previous equivalent reporting period. You can also hover over a card to view the daily values that make up the totals.

Performance Chart

The main chart visualises trends over time for a selected metric. Use the dropdown in the top-right corner to switch between available datasets, such as Audio Streams, Playlist Adds, Skip Rate, and other audience metrics (please note that not all DSPs report on every metric). You can also hover over data points to drill down, as well as to see whether data is still pending from specific DSPs for that date.

Further down the 'Overview' page, you'll also find additional rankings and audience insights that help you understand where your catalogue is performing best across supported DSPs. These sections provide quick access to your top-performing content and listener trends for the selected reporting period.

Content Filter

The filter buttons at the top of this section determine which content type is used throughout the rankings displayed below. Choose between 'Audio Streams', 'Video Streams', 'Track Downloads', and 'Release Downloads' to compare your catalogue's performance from different perspectives.

Top Rankings

View your top-performing Tracks, Countries, Platforms, Labels, Genres, Artists, Releases, and Playlists for the selected reporting period. Click the 'View All' link next to each heading or select an item to open the corresponding report for more detailed analysis.

Audience Insights

These insights combine listener data from supported DSPs to provide additional context around your audience. This can include metrics such as Gender, Skip Rate, and Listening Time of Day (displayed in your own time zone for easier interpretation), helping you to better understand how, when, and at what times listeners engage with your catalogue globally.

If you have any questions about the data shown in Daily Trends, such as why figures may differ between DSPs, why recent data can appear to be incomplete, or how specific metrics are calculated, we recommend reading our Daily Trends FAQs for more information and helpful guidance.
