It's post ADE, the dust has settled and everyone has recovered from the ADE flu. With your phone full of new contacts and pockets full of business cards, now's the time for the work to start.
If you followed our Prepare For ADE Guide you should be in good stead to capitalise on those meetings and make the trip worthwhile.
Below are a few pointers on following through your ADE meetings.
Follow Up Your Meetings
Drop everyone a quick email following up your meeting, this doesn't have to be a long email, just a short email touching on your meeting and expressing your intent to follow this through. You have to appreciate everyone will be inundated with these emails, so give a bit of time to follow up.
Set A Reminder For An In-depth Follow Up
Set a reminder for a few weeks to send a more detailed follow-up and see how you can both proceed with the opportunities you discussed. This email should be more detailed than the first and really show how you intend to proceed.
Review Your Overall Meetings
Were your meetings worthwhile? Did you make new connections by networking? If so, where did you meet these people, can you focus more energy on being at these places next year?
If your meetings weren't a success, why? What can you do to avoid this next year?
