The blue verification badge lets people know that a Facebook Page/profile or an Instagram account of public interest is authentic. Facebook apply the blue verification badge to eligible media organizations, public figures and related businesses.
How can I get my artist page verified?
The easiest way for anyone to verify their Facebook page is via Meta Verified, a subscription for creators and businesses that gives you a verification badge, protecting your brand from impersonation.
However, if you are a very high-profile artist with significant public interest and are a LabelWorx client, we can submit a verification request on your behalf. Please note that even then, verification is ultimately at Facebook’s discretion, so we cannot guarantee your page will be verified.
To submit a request, please send the below information via our Request Form:
- Your Artist Name
- Artist Page URL
- A proposal detailing why your account should receive the verification badge
What does Facebook look for?
Eligibility for the blue verification badge is based on several factors, including account completeness, policy compliance, and public interest.
Your account must also comply with the terms of service, have a cover photo and a profile photo, a name that follows Facebook's guidelines, content posted that adheres to Facebook’s Community Standards and a Page that is published or a profile with “Follow” turned on.
You should also include additional information to help Facebook better review your request, such as a few sentences explaining why the account should receive the blue verification badge and relevant URLs that help illustrate public interest in the account.
What can I do if my verification request is denied?
Verification is not guaranteed, even for high-profile artists. If your request is denied, you can still:
- Link to your Facebook profile or Page from your official website or Instagram profile
- Grow and engage followers without a verification badge
- Report impersonator accounts
We do not recommend re-applying unless you have significant new information likely to influence Facebook’s decision.
