Overview
Each week, the LabelWorx pitching team reviews upcoming releases distributed through our platform, submitting tailored pitches to various DSPs (Digital Service Providers) for editorial coverage and promotional opportunities. These pitches are typically sent out three weeks before release, depending on the DSP's requirements.
When a release secures editorial placement or other support, you will receive a Feature Placement Notification Email detailing the feature and its specifics. It will typically include:
- Release details.
- The DSP providing support.
- Details of the support received.
Maximize the Opportunity
To make the most of a successful placement:
1. Share the news on social media
- Include direct links to the release on Traxsource and encourage sales.
- Provide details of the playlist and encourage fans to visit listen to the release page.
- Try to make the post unique and interesting so that it stands out.
- Incorporating the sharing of this achievement directly into your existing content strategy to keep things consistent and authentic.
- Use the opportunity to associate your artist and label with success and popularity on Traxsource and strengthen the credibility of your brand and profile.
Tip: Use official Traxsource hashtags and tags to increase visibility and strengthen relationships with their editorial team.
2. Encourage Artist Involvement
- Ask the artist to share news of the feature on their networks, as they can often have a larger fan base and reach than the label itself.
- This also helps them to build credibility with their audience and peers while nurturing their relationship with Traxsource.
- Sharing achievements with their audience can help artists create a sense of excitement and buzz.
- Tagging and interacting with other artists who have been featured is also a good networking opportunity and can further increase reach.
3. Support DSP Goals
- DSPs like TIDAL aim to attract new listeners and engage existing users. By driving traffic to their platform, you enhance the likelihood of future editorial support, creating a mutually beneficial relationship between your label and the DSP.
- Make sure your artist and label profiles are up-to-date with recent images and bio.
4. Leverage Traxsource Charts
- DJ charts are a key way to amplify your release and reach more DJs and fans on Traxsource. It's common for Traxsource to award additional coverage for charts which are created by labels/artists who have already been featured and this can be an additional opportunity to bring awareness to your releases.
- Follow the normal "User Chart" instructions found here:

- Fill in all other requested fields on the web form.
- ** Charts must be 10 tracks minimum and "STEMS" tracks are prohibited.
- Send us your chart here and we'll pitch this for additional coverage.
Final Notes
Coverage can last anywhere between a day and many weeks/months. We will only inform you when coverage has been confirmed by a DSP or data analytics platform. This data can take a few days/weeks to be received and processed, therefore coverage may expire before the notification is received.
Many DSPs do not report success directly and so it's not always possible to report on every instance of support or editorial coverage. Sometimes placements can be given many weeks/months after release. This is common when a release achieves virality or grows in popularity over time. You can use data platforms such as Chartmetric, Songstats and ForTunes to keep track of ongoing success yourself.
