Most update requests that are sent to the support desk will require you to manually submit a notice to notify the stores of a change. However, a few of the updates related to changes to an artist profile are automatically processed and submitted by the system instead, requiring no further action by you.
The system will automatically create and submit a notice when:
- You (or a label) match an unmatched artist after the label is converted to the Artist Roles system.
- You (or a label) use the Replace tool and 'Update DSPs with Replacement Artist' is selected.
- You use the Merge tool to merge an artist and their releases into another artist profile.
For releases or other changes related to artist profiles, you must manually create and submit a notice.
