When creating a release, LabelWorx provides multiple methods of uploading audio files to your Album, EP or Single. The method you decide to use really depends on your requirements.

Our methods of uploading audio are -
Direct to Track
This is the simplest method of uploading audio for the tracks on your release but limits you to upload files to one track at a time.
Note - This article assumes that you have already created your Single, EP or Album.
To upload audio directly to track complete the following steps
- Select "Release Management -> Release List" on the top menu
- Select the release you are looking for from the list
- On the "Release Details" screen click the "Upload & Upload Files" link next to your track
- On the "Mix Details" screen scroll down until you see the "Audio Files" section
- Click the "Upload New MP3 File", "Upload New WAV File" or "Upload New Sample" link (depending on which file you wish to upload.)
- Use the "File Picker" to select the file from your hard drive and click "Upload"
- Once your upload has finished Label Worx will analyse your file and update your screen with the file details.
- Click the "Save" button to update your track details.
FTP Upload
Using this method gives you the ability to upload bulk loads of audio to the LabelWorx servers and then allocate them to your tracks at a later stage.
Note - This article assumes that you have already created your Single, EP or Album.
Setting Up FTP Access
LabelWorx recommends installing a dedicated FTP client to connect and upload files to your Label Worx FTP account. We recommend the open-source solution FileZilla as it is free and works with Windows, Mac OS X & Linux.
Download FileZilla from here - FileZilla Project
Once FileZilla is installed you simply need to create a new connection. You can obtain your LabelWorx FTP account settings using these steps -
- Select "Settings" on the top menu
- Select the "FTP Access" tab
Your FTP details will now be present on the screen. If you enter these into FileZilla (or any other FTP client) you will be logged onto your LabelWorx FTP and will be able to upload your audio.
Allocating FTP Files to Tracks
Once you have uploaded the audio to LabelWorx FTP you will need to allocate them to the tracks on your release. To do this complete the following steps
- Select "Release Management -> Release List" on the top menu
- Select the release you are looking for from the list
- On the "Release Details" screen click the "Upload & Upload Files" link next to your track
- On the "Mix Details" screen scroll down until you see the "Audio Files" section
- Click the "Select From FTP" link in the file section relevant to the file you wish to select from the FTP.
- Using the pop-up browser window, select your uploaded file from your LabelWorx FTP.
- Click the "Yes" button to confirm you wish to allocate the file
- After a brief pause (while we analyse your audio file) you will see a confirmation pop up. Click the "OK" button to close this.
Your audio file will now be allocated successfully to the track on your release and the waveform of the track will be displayed.
